In this clip from Bill Nye’s show, Jerry Andress explains how the brain interprets several optical illusions.

This was one of the “way cool scientist” sections of the show.

Some documentaries about science can be really boring, but the Bill Nye made many subjects fascinating. It was one of my favorite shows. Granted, I did go on to become a physicist. But my brother and sister who are definite non-scientists loved the show too.

You can also get some Bill Nye Books to help your kids learn science and become interested in it. He has written about the ocean, germs, planets, and other science topics.

  1. The video was very interesting. My brain was tricked too! Now I’d like to know how Criss Angel does it.
