The Super Stepford Child David Wilkinson Guru Fan Club

Not all Teenagers should be locked in a barrel until their 21st Birthday.  As a matter of fact, I’m thinking about starting a new Fan Club called the Super Stepford Child David Wilkinson Internet Marketing Guru Fan Club. I’m sure I’ll get lots of top-notch Internet Marketing professionals to sign-up and maybe even a good number of parents wanting advice on everything from Politics, both American and British, to Website design and traffic conversions.

For those who are not familiar with the 14 year old phenom from Manchester, England, he’s a rising super star in the world of online blogging and internet marketing. In just two short years he has risen from reporting on the latest techie gadget to giving advise with his own Coaching program.

Through the magic of Skype, I got to spend a bit of time chatting with David recently and found him to be both intelligent and delightful. A quick wit and a wicked sense of humor make you forget his young age. He seems to be at home conversing with intellectuals of all ages, not that I include myself as intellectual.

All of those qualities are great, but the truth is… those are not the reasons I’m a big fan of David Wilkinson. I’m a fan because of the respect he shows towards his parents and sister. In all the time that I have been following young Mr. Wilkinson, I have yet to hear him remark negatively toward his family. You may hear him use some slightly “irreverent” language when referring to politicians or a few colorful phrases to chastise a wayward marketer but never a harsh word toward family.

I’ve always said that “the best way to earn respect, is to give respect”. Not an easy thing for many young men of David’s age. With future plans that include Harvard and a move to Colorado, I’m sure David will be a success in many areas of his life, the most important being FAMILY.
