There are many cool and fun activities based around Valentines Day both for adults and for the kids.
I remember the Valentine’s Day craft activities we would do back in my elementary school working with construction paper and markers cutting out little heart-shaped Valentines and folding them in half for the girls in the class. And of course I’d get many of those from the girl’s.
I can’t say it’s something I enjoyed too much. I believe it was more for the girls enjoyment than for ours.
But the candy exchanges were fun and very tasty.
If you’re looking for some fun and wholesome activities for your kids to do either online or off-line you can check out this cool resource list I found. Valentine’s Day activities for kids.
It includes things like cards, posters, games and puzzles, poems, recipes and worksheets.
And now onto some of the fun and affordable last-minute activities you can do for the adults. Because in this economy keeping an eye on the bottom line and how it affects your wallet is just as important if not more so than having a stellar and romantic mid February holiday.
One thing you can do is host a potluck Valentine’s party at your house. It doesn’t have to be huge.
It can be as simple as just a few of your neighbors are closest friends even if it’s only three or four couples. Or as elaborate as you are adventurous.
You can play games as risque as your style and your guests style. You could even have the ladies dressed up as Greek goddesses (which would be awesome) and the guys dressed up as Cupid.
Depending on what town or city you’re in there’s also museums with special themed exhibits and parks you can go to to have a romantic candlelit picnic. And if you’re adventurous and still have some left over from New Year’s you could bring some fireworks along for a little extra show.
Then of course, you could always show off your cooking skills to your partner or Valentine’s Day date by having them over for dinner. This is a fun and definitely tasty Valentine’s Day activity for both of you.
And here’s a page with some Valentines themed recipes for you to check out.
There are many recipes here for all types and even somewhat diabetics and mine. I’ve never considered it before but now that I think about it this is got to be a tough holiday for diabetics with all the good candy floating around.
I know my granddad who’s gotten the adult onset diabetes misses his candy treats.
I’ll be interested to hear your suggestions and comments for other cool, unusual and most of all fun Valentine’s Day history activities you’ve the done in the past or have imagined in the flight of fancy or a daydream. Post your idea here because being public may help it come true.

thank you =))
