Just Do your HOMEWORK!
Is homework time driving you crazy?
Do your kids spend more time making excuses than they do actually doing their homework?
Getting a child of any age to sit still and focus on homework can be a challenge.
According to Stephen Perrine there are some steps you can take to make homework time a bit more pleasant.
- Set aside a specific time
- Provide a quiet distraction free environment
- For younger kids, make it a bonding time, let them show you what they know
- Use plenty of praise
- Let older teens take responsibility

Great advice in this video. I especially love the idea of allowing the student to be your teacher when they are doing their homework. Kids learn a lot when they are in a position of teaching what they have learned. It creates a need to really know the information.
