Christmas 2008 On Country Music Television
Let Country Music Television (CMT) help get you in the mood for Christmas with some of their special holiday shows. Check our the show descriptions below.
- A Toby Keith Classic Christmas
This will be a one-hour special featuring Toby Keith as he performs Christmas classics from his new release “A Classic Christmas”. The show will be recorded live before a small audience in Nashville, TN. Jewel, a special guest, will join Keith on-stage for two stirring holiday favorites. They will be singing yuletide favorites in front of an intimate Nashville audience. The show will be a scaled-down performance that will be reminiscent of a family gathering with a visit from a special guest. Jewel. Some of the popular favorites include “Winter Wonderland”, “Little Drummer Boy”, and “The first Noel”. Jewel and Keith with sing together on “The Christmas Song” and on their rousing rendition of the spiritual “Go Tell In On The Mountain”.
Keith is a multi-platinum singer-songwriter who has produced five number one albums in his career. He latest number one hit makes a cumulative of 23 number one singles for Keith. His new two-disk set, “A Christmas Classic”, is his first Christmas CD (album) in 10 years. The album features songs that will be performed on A Toby Keith Classic Christmas as well as other holiday classics.
- Smoky Mountain Christmas
Dolly Parton and John Ritter star in this heartwarming movie about a singing star overburdened by her career and loneliness. She takes refuge in a friend’s cabin only to discover the place has been appropriated by seven parent-less kids fleeing their orphanage. She then faces a battle to keep her new “family.” - Larry the Cable Guy’s Christmas Spectacular
The show is billed as a variety sketch-comedy show starring Larry the Cable Guy. He will do a hilarious roast of Santa Claus, a politically correct Christmas nativity scene photograph, dirty Christmas carolers, and the gorgeous North Pole dancers. The show will include special celebrity guest such as Kid Rock, Carrot Top, Vicki Lawrence, and Flavor Flav. Kid Rock will perform his new song, “Rock and Role Jesus”.
My description for Larry’s Christmas Spectacular is different. This is not a comedy. Talking dirty and filthy is not comedy. Changing Christmas songs, poems, and stories into gross interpretations is not funny. Larry the Cable Guy is not funny. He has a sick and twisted dirty mind.
Parents, do not let anyone in your family watch Larry the Cable Guy’s Christmas Spectacular. Especially your children, unless you want them trying to imitate some of the gross comedy that they will hear on the show. He also criticizes and makes fun of certain ethnic groups.
I do not recommend watching the following video. I have just posted it so that you can see how bad his Christmas Spectacular show is going to be.
We need to boycott CMT for having this show on their network. Maybe the Motrinmons will come down on Larry the Cable Guy like they did on Motrin.

Gee Steve,
There is no need for name calling, after all this is a family
site for Parents.
I think it’s a bit hypocritical to call someone an idiot for
not turning off the channel and then turn around and do the
same thing by not simply clicking the X in the top right
corner.
No matter what is written on this site, you always have the
option to TURN IT OFF OR WALK AWAY FROM IT!!!!!!!.
